NATURAL SPINEL AVIALABLE
Spinels are quite valuable and expensive. The price per carat varies depending on the type and color of spinel. Red, cobalt blue, hot pink, and fiery orange are the most valuable colors. Faceted spinels of all kinds hold more value than many precious stones. Some spinel colors are more rare and valuable than others. In general, red spinel is the most desirable, followed by fine cobalt-blue spinel, then by vibrant hot pink and vivid orange stones.Violet and bluish purple to purple, or lavender, stones tend to be less attractive, and less in demand than other, rarer colors. The theory is that the stone's spine-shaped crystals are reminiscent of a thorn found in nature. However, if you look closer at spinel's composition, it's unlikely to find spine-shaped crystals. Therefore, the name itself is more of a legend than fact.
