NATURAL SPINEL AVAILABLE

Spinel is a mineral that owes its beautiful color to chromium, much like rubies and emeralds do. It has a hardness of 8 on the Mohs hardness scale (diamond has a hardness of 10). Spinel is seen in a wide range of colors: red, lavender, violet, blue, green, brown, black. Spinel belongs to the cubic crystal system and its characteristic crystal shape is an octahedron, which looks like two back-to-back pyramids. Like ruby, spinel is found in  alluvial deposits; it ranks 8 on the Mohs scale and has good toughness, making it a durable gem for jewelry.
